Faut que je vous parle de King Hannah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

King Hannah, c\u2019est typiquement le groupe que tu d\u00e9couvres en festival. Tu n\u2019attends rien de particulier. Tu es pos\u00e9e. Tu glandes. Et tu tends une oreille.<\/p>\n

Moi je faisais une pause sur l\u2019herbe. Innocente. Avec mon \u0153uf dur. Et j\u2019ai pris un ovni.<\/p>\n

Un truc inclassable entre Portishead<\/strong> sans trip hop, Nico<\/strong> sans h\u00e9ro\u00efne, PJ Harvey<\/strong> sans col\u00e8re, The Sundays<\/strong> sans la pop. Et c\u2019est planant.<\/p>\n

King Hannah, c\u2019est un duo de Liverpool qui joue avec notre syst\u00e8me nerveux comme d\u2019autres jouent avec la lumi\u00e8re. Pas besoin d\u2019effet. Pas besoin d\u2019en faire. Ils te happent. Ils t\u2019avalent. Ils t\u2019enroulent dans une lenteur qui n\u2019est jamais molle, mais magn\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n

Hannah Merrick<\/strong> ne chante pas vraiment. Elle murmure, elle glisse, elle serpente. Sa voix, c\u2019est celle du serpent dans Le Livre de la Jungle<\/em> : rauque, douce, cristalline, hypnotique. Elle ne cherche pas ton regard, ne le refuse pas non plus. Elle est pos\u00e9e, impassible, robe rouge andalouse et baskets. Elle n\u2019a pas besoin de bouger. C\u2019est toi qui avances.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s, Craig Whittle<\/strong> tricote un r\u00e9seau de guitares sinueuses, rampantes, qui montent doucement en tension avant de te l\u00e2cher au bord du vide. Il ne joue pas. Il enveloppe. Et toi, tu t\u2019envoles.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est un concert qui ne fait pas d\u2019esbroufe, mais qui te laisse en apesanteur. Tu sors de l\u00e0 sans t\u2019en rendre compte. Tu flottes. Tu redescends trois chansons plus tard, ailleurs.<\/p>\n

Je ne sais pas si cet effet slow motion passe \u00e0 l\u2019enregistrement. Je n\u2019ai pas encore \u00e9cout\u00e9 les disques. Mais en live, c\u2019est une exp\u00e9rience.<\/p>\n
